About Zuzana
I am a MA material futures (Central Saint Martin's college of Arts and Design, London) graduate with a background in Fashion and textile design with a rich working experience in the industry. I worked as a designer in London, Czech Republic, Istanbul and India. For the past 5 years I have been focusing my research practice on projects embracing sustainability and circularity in design. I co-founded a start up in South India that develops new materials based on agricultural waste that are biodegradable and vegan.

My teaching method is based on explanation of sustainability principles designers should incorporate into their practice. I break down the meaning and give examples for the sustainability principles coined by the UN but also the ones practiced for millenia by native people all around the world. The practical part of my methodology is project based - a student develops a concept and prototype for a design developed keeping sustainability principles in mind. We learn how to identify and calculate the social, environmental and economical impact of the design developed and how to present it in a way the communicates it the best.
