About Julia
I am naturally good at the STEM subjects but have learned through undergrad and graduate school that most STEM-related problems have a special system. Once I am able to understand the system, similar problems become much easier. I bring this into my tutoring as much as possible. Instead of the student getting a problem right and forgetting about it, they will get it right and understand how to continue getting similar problems right in the future.

I love to walk through a problem with the student and then give them a try at a similar problem in order to pick up what they do and don't understand. That way, I can then explain the problem and make sure they grasp the new ideas before diving in again.
