About Jaanhvee

Hello! My name is Jaanhvee, and I am an experienced English educator with a strong academic background and a passion for helping students succeed in selective school admissions.
I hold a Master’s degree in English Literature from the University of Leeds and have several years of teaching experience supporting students across different levels, including Grammar School and 11+ entrance preparation.
I specialise in building key skills needed for competitive exams, such as:
Reading comprehension
Advanced grammar and vocabulary
Creative and persuasive writing
Exam technique and confidence under timed conditions
I believe every child learns differently, so my lessons are always personalised, structured, and encouraging. I have experience providing 1:1 support, including working with students with additional learning needs, and I aim to create a calm and motivating environment where students feel confident to grow.
My goal is not only to improve academic performance, but also to help students develop strong communication skills and a genuine enjoyment of English.
I look forward to supporting you on your learning journey and helping you achieve your Grammar School goals!

Grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure
Verbal reasoning and exam-style problem solving
Timed practice and mock-style questions
Each session is carefully tailored to the student’s level, ensuring steady progress through clear explanations, guided practice, and personalised feedback.
I also provide calm and encouraging 1:1 support for students who may need extra help with focus, confidence, or learning differences, making lessons accessible and motivating.
