About Kanchukee

I am an educator with over 6 years of teaching experience in India and Canada. I hold a Master’s in Education from the University of Northern British Columbia, along with a B.Ed. and a Master’s in English.

My experience includes classroom teaching, learning assistance, alternative education, and supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Working with children has taught me that patience, understanding, and building trust are just as important as teaching a subject. I enjoy getting to know my students, learning from them, and finding small ways to make their learning journey a little easier and more meaningful.

About the lesson

Education is not just about textbooks, grades, or completing homework. It is also about helping children become confident, curious, independent, and comfortable expressing themselves. Every child has their own strengths, challenges, and pace of learning, and understanding these differences is an important part of teaching.

Lessons are planned around each student's needs, interests, and learning style. A mix of technology, digital learning tools, educational games, visual resources, discussions, and everyday examples helps make learning more interesting and easier to understand.

A typical session begins with a quick conversation or activity to understand what the student already knows. This is followed by guided learning, interactive activities, opportunities to practice, and a short review to see where more support may be needed.

Along with English, reading, writing, literacy, and general academic support, lessons can focus on problem-solving, communication, critical thinking, organization, time management, and practical life skills.

Special attention is given to students who may need additional learning support, including those with learning disabilities, attention difficulties, or challenges with traditional classroom learning.

The aim is to create a comfortable space where children feel free to ask questions, make mistakes, explore their interests, and learn without pressure. Whether a student needs help catching up, strengthening basic skills, or becoming more independent, the focus is on making steady progress at their own pace.

Above all, learning should help children not only succeed in school but also develop skills and confidence that stay with them beyond the classroom.
