About Alexandra Camelia
I have a working knowledge of art, design and exhibition technical needs. I have a BA Degree in Decorative Art and Design and 12 years working in the design industry professionally.
I am a very creative person who takes pride in my own work. I am able to manage and generate artwork from scratch & initial concept to final design and implementation. I also have experience in organizing exhibitions whilst at the University, I worked collaboratively with other students and tutors to display new creative works, including sculptural ceramic, pottery, paintings and drawings.
As an Art and Craft Tutor I worked with children and young people, encouraging educational opportunities and developing self-esteem and confidence through creative outlets. I have patience and a genuine interest in working with younger people who are looking to learn a new skill. My one year of experience at SOS CHILDREN'S VILLAGES have taught me the value of patience and encouragement in the special education and care. I had a special bond with children that have emotional and behavioral issues.
Caring and teaching comes naturally to me and gives me a deep sense of personal satisfaction. I have the ability to motivate people and approach new challenges with enthusiasm.

I am an Romanian artist based in the UK with a BA degree in Decorative Arts and Design.
I am a talented, passionate and hardworking visual artist with a long track record of creating original pieces of art work, through a variety of mediums. I work mainly in the acrylic medium.
I have a strong artistic background, with the ability to create art for either sale or exhibition.
My lessons are designed for those with a proven interest in art and a desire to explore their creative potential, allowing you the opportunity to develop your creative skills while learning new techniques.
My lessons introduce "students" to classical and contemporary painting, techniques and concepts, with emphasis on the understanding of its formal language and the fundamentals of artistic expression.
There will be a meeting and I will discuss with you your experience (if any) and goals. This, along with your portfolio of work will form the basis of your starting point in Fine Art.
My lessons are structured in modules. In each module you will have the chance to study art concepts, like: Line, Shape, Form, Value, Texture, Space, Composition, Rhythm...
Painting from still-life, landscape, and life models from observation will be geared towards realism or abstractionism; at the same time, various other painting styles could be explored. Color theory, linear perspective, compositional structure, figure/ground relationships, visual perception, spatial concepts, and critical thinking skills will all be emphasized extensively. We will study and research major painting styles and movements in historical context.
This may seem like a lot to absorb,but my main emphasis will be to encourage and nourish individuality and creativity.
All the necessary art materials should be provided by the students.

Alexandra is a very kind and patient professor. I was interested in painting since a child, but never found time to do it. Alexandra's flexible program is perfect for someone who's in college or has a 9 to 5 job. I took some lessons with her in the mornings and that was perfect for me.
She's an amazing teacher, with very good skills of inspiring other people following their passions.
