About Maria
My name is Maria, I am currently taking a master's degree in Community Psychology at ISCTE. The focus of my academic career has been on childhood / adolescence and education. I am fascinated to know new cultures and places so English has always been my greatest ally. I have a lot of experience, both academic and day-to-day. I really privilege contact, affection, informality and the relationship with those around me and that is what I intend to bring to these sessions.

My teaching method is flexible and adapted to each student. Classes can be discussed and built together as I believe in collaborative and participatory teaching. I am informal, I like to give space for students to express themselves, I highly value participation. I believe in teaching that enables students to deal with everyday situations in order to guarantee their independence in situations where English is required. However, I am also able to prepare for exams like PET or FCE. I can focus so much on grammar, writing or speaking, you choose!
