About Cameron
I graduated Queen's with a Bachelor's of Science in Biochemistry and University of Ottawa with a Master's of Anatomical Sciences
I've been tutoring for over 10 years, including 2.5 years teaching at Sylvan Learning and a year as a Teaching Assistant at Queen's University. I've also worked with Let's Talk Science, so I'm comfortable teaching everyone from elementary students to mature learners returning to school after years away.
I teach math, science (physics, chemistry, biology), French, and English, from elementary through CEGEP and first-year university. My focus is on understanding over memorization. I'd rather you be able to explain a topic back to me than recite it, because that's what actually sticks come exam time.

I teach math, science, French and English, from elementary through first-year university/CEGEP. I've worked with everyone from a Grade 9 student who's fallen behind to a mature student going back to school after years away.
For younger students, I will usually direct the lesson with the guidance of material sent via email prior, while older students usually send me work or tough lessons that I will review prior to the session and we will work on them throughout.
My style is pretty simple, figure out what's actually confusing before jumping into homework, then work on that directly. I'll check you understand something by having you explain it back to me if you can teach it, you know it. I want you to actually understand the material, not just memorize it so we'll focus on why things work, not just how to get the answer
