About Lauren
Hello! My name is Lauren, and I'm a Master of Teaching (Secondary) student at QUT. I've previously studied a Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) in microbiology, as well as a Diploma in Science, majoring in mathematics. I graduated in 2017 with an OP 3, which roughly translates to an ATAR between 95.50 and 97.30. Aside from studying, I love reading, playing Animal Crossing or Pokémon on my switch, listening to music and attending live shows. I'm a massive Brisbane Broncos fan and have been known to wake up at absurd hours to catch an F1 race. I have a very cheeky puppy called Koda (who may or may not make an on screen appearance) and I can’t wait to one day own all sorts of animals as pets.

I truly believe that learning shouldn't be stressful, so I really try to make tutoring sessions calm and supportive, where students feel comfortable asking questions and confident enough to push themselves even further! I'm happy for students to set their own agenda in each session, working on exam revision, assignments or just catching up on things from the week that just don't make sense. Alternatively, we can work together to build a flexible learning plan that follows your curriculum and is tailored to your individual strengths and weaknesses.
