About CJ
I bring a strong academic background and a genuine passion for helping students grow and succeed. I earned my undergraduate degree in Communication with a minor in Education, and went on to complete a Master’s of Organizational Leadership. This combination allows me to not only teach effectively but also coach students in building confidence, structure, and real-world skills that go beyond the classroom.
Teaching and coaching aren’t just things I do; they’re what I truly enjoy. I’m committed to creating a supportive, professional environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and improving at their own pace. I take pride in being patient, reliable, and fully invested in each student’s progress.
What drives me most is seeing that growth over time, when something finally clicks, when confidence builds, and when students start to recognize their own potential. My goal is always to provide guidance that is clear, encouraging, and practical, so students leave each session feeling more capable than when they started.

My approach as a tutor is all about keeping things personal and flexible. Everyone learns differently, so I like to take time to understand everyone's goals and what they are trying to achieve. I like to keep things interactive and practical, especially when it comes to writing and career skills, so you aren’t just listening, you are doing the work and building confidence.
A typical session usually starts with a quick check-in to see how things are going and what we want to focus on that day. From there, we’ll work on a specific skill, like improving an essay, organizing ideas, or building something like a resume. I’ll walk through examples, then have the student try it themselves while I guide and give feedback.
What really sets me apart is how easily I adapt to different situations and learning styles. If something isn’t clicking, I’ll make the adjustment. My goal isn’t just to help in the moment, but to give you the tools you need to handle things on your own and feel confident doing it.
I mainly work with secondary school students who want to get better at writing, stay more organized, and start thinking about their future paths. Whether someone needs help catching up, improving their grades, or just building confidence, I can provide assistance as needed.
