About Sophie

I am a Malaysian Chinese who is a fresh graduate in BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies and is currently living in Birmingham! I have been caring for children since 2019 and have been doing work placements which has allowed me to broaden my experience in caring and educating children from ages 0-8. I have both a DBS check and a Paediatric First Aid certificate which can be shown to you upon request!

Briefly about me, I can speak 4 different languages (English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Malay), I love to read and bake during my spare time as well as going on walks in the park. I am seen as a bubbly and outgoing person which has allowed me to create new healthy relationships with people easily! If needed, I am able to send my CV if you'd like to have a read about my previous work experiences and achievements, please do not hesitate to ask me any more necessary questions! Thank you for your time and have an amazing day ahead!

About the lesson

My typical length of a lesson would be around 45 minutes - 1 hour max. I would usually start off with simple words to understand the child's progress and start to build lessons from there. I have experiences teaching children from ages 2-8 not only from my previous jobs as a nursery teacher but also tutoring my neighbours' children during COVID-19!

I am a Malaysian Chinese who has been speaking as well as practicing my reading and writing since I was 3 and have even received an A* on my GCSE!
