About Emily-Jane
I am a London College of Fashion graduate with a degree in Fashion Textiles and A-Levels in Art and Textiles. My background combines academic excellence with extensive industry experience, including working with leading luxury retailers, lecturing at the London College of Fashion and running my own Cotswolds-based luxury knitwear brand.
My practice is rooted in craftsmanship, creativity and contemporary design, which I bring into my teaching to inspire confidence, individuality and high-level creative thinking. I am passionate about nurturing emerging talent and providing tailored, professional support within a considered and encouraging learning environment.

I offer personalised tuition in Fashion Design and Textiles, specialising in creative design development, textile techniques and portfolio work. Lessons are tailored to each student’s level, interests and goals, whether you are developing coursework, preparing a portfolio or building confidence in your creative practice.
My specialist areas include:
• Fashion design and design development
• Drawing, illustration and fashion sketching
• Embroidery, including goldwork and decorative techniques
• Beading and embellishment
• Patchwork and appliqué
• Fabric manipulation and surface decoration
• Beginner crochet and knitting
• Textile sampling and experimentation
• Mood boards, research and design development
• Portfolio development and presentation
• GCSE and A-Level Art & Textiles coursework
• Support with sketchbooks, annotations and written research
• Preparing for further study in fashion, textiles or related creative subjects
I studied A-Level Art and Textiles before graduating in Fashion Textiles from London College of Fashion. Alongside my academic background, I have industry experience and run my own luxury knitwear brand. My teaching is creative, supportive and practical, helping students develop their own ideas while strengthening their technical skills, confidence and individual design identity.
