About Deeya
As a Linguistics and English Language student, I love working with language at all levels. I particularly enjoy studying grammar and analysing texts in detail; I find it fascinating how words "fit together". I know that this can seem boring or scary for students, so I want to share my enthusiasm and show you that you know more than you think you do.

I find that when teaching language and grammar in terms of "right" and "wrong", students can become overwhelmed or intimidated. Instead, I focus on what makes communication more or less effective, always keeping the message at the foreground. Having this positive attitude helps students to feel confidence in their language skills, which is key to improvement.
My lessons are typically an hour long.
I can provide lessons for KS2-KS4.
