About Craig
Hi, I’m Craig, a researcher, lecturer and tutor passionate about helping students and professionals unlock their full potential in engineering.
Over the past 6+ years, I’ve helped students from A-level through to PhD and postdoctoral level develop a strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, tackle challenging technical problems and turn their ideas into reality. Whether you’re looking to master the fundamentals of aerodynamics and fluid mechanics, prepare for an exam, work through a difficult concept or develop a PhD research idea, I tailor my teaching and lessons to your individual goals and level.
I have taught at both the University of Southampton and Imperial College London across a wide range of subjects, including:

I hold a PhD and MEng in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southampton and currently conduct research at Imperial College London, where I specialise in wind energy and wind turbines. I have published research in leading engineering journals and was awarded the Anthony Wright Prize for an outstanding PhD thesis.
My approach is friendly, patient and focused on understanding rather than memorisation. I aim to break down complex engineering concepts into clear, intuitive ideas, while also helping students develop the problem-solving skills and confidence to tackle unfamiliar problems independently.

Fully Bespoke Lessons, Tailored to You
Every lesson is fully bespoke and designed around your individual needs, goals and level. Whether you are preparing for an upcoming exam, working through coursework, tackling a particular topic, or simply looking to strengthen your understanding of the fundamentals, we can tailor each session to exactly what you need.
Lessons can be adapted in both content and length, from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on your requirements and what works best for you. We can focus on a specific problem or topic, work systematically through a syllabus, develop exam technique, or take a broader approach to build confidence and deeper understanding.
I am able to teach students across a very wide range of levels, from GCSE through to undergraduate, postgraduate and postdoctoral professional level. Whether you are just getting to grips with the fundamentals or working at an advanced professional level, lessons will be pitched appropriately to your experience and objectives.
