About Abigail
I am a motivated and approachable NCEA student who enjoys helping others understand subjects that can initially seem challenging. I am committed to my own studies and take pride in achieving highly across my subjects. Through leadership, mentoring, and working with others in school and extracurricular activities, I have developed strong communication, patience, and organization skills. I understand that every student learns differently, so I aim to create a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is not just to help students improve their grades, but to help them genuinely understand the material and feel more confident in their abilities.

My approach to tutoring is patient, supportive and tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on breaking difficult concepts into simple steps, using examples and practice questions to build understanding and confidence. Lessons are typically 60 minutes and are aimed at primary and secondary students studying NCEA. As a high-achieving NCEA student, I understand the challenges students face and can explain concepts from a student’s perspective. I also adapt my teaching style depending on whether a student needs help understanding content, preparing for assessments, or building confidence in a subject.
