About Jordan
I am an experienced qualified Maths teacher with enhanced DBS, and private tutor with a strong academic background in Mathematics. I achieved A* grades in both A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, followed by a First-Class Master's degree in Mathematics from Durham University.
Alongside teaching, I have provided private tuition for the past four years, supporting students across GCSE, A Level and Further Mathematics. I am also an experienced exam marker, giving me a strong understanding of examination standards, mark schemes and what is required to achieve the highest grades.
I specialise particularly in A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, including helping students aiming for A* grades and supporting preparation for competitive university entrance examinations such as STEP and TMUA.
My lessons are professional, personalised and supportive, with a focus on developing genuine understanding, problem-solving ability and the confidence to tackle challenging questions independently.

My approach to tutoring is centred around developing genuine mathematical understanding, confidence and exam performance.
Lessons are fully personalised to the individual student. I first identify areas of strength and weakness, then structure sessions around the topics and skills that will have the greatest impact. I focus on explaining difficult concepts clearly, addressing misconceptions and developing students' ability to tackle unfamiliar problems independently, rather than teaching them how to memorise procedures.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and are delivered online. I also support students preparing for GCSE and other mathematics examinations. My aim is to help each student build the understanding, problem-solving ability and confidence needed to achieve their academic goals.
