About Joram

About Me: Combining Frontline Leadership with Postgraduate Academic Rigour

Hello! I’m Joram, an active Senior Support Worker in UK adult social care and a dedicated academic coach. My educational and professional journey bridges two worlds: hands-on frontline health and social care leadership and high-level quantitative and management analytics.
My academic foundation includes:

MSc in Health and Care Management (Currently completing)
OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management (120 Postgraduate RQF Credits)
Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Software & Media Applications
BSc (Hons) in Mathematics
Professional certifications in Data Analytics, SQL, and Power BI
With over 10 years of professional experience across healthcare data analytics, monitoring and evaluation, secondary teaching, and frontline supported living care, I have a deep understanding of both the practical realities of care delivery and the academic standards required at diploma and degree levels.
Why I Want to Teach & Coach
Working on the frontline while completing my postgraduate studies taught me a valuable lesson: most healthcare students struggle not because they lack care competency, but because adult learning environments can feel isolating and overwhelming.
I see care workers every day who deliver outstanding, person-centred support, yet feel paralysed when faced with a 2,500-word essay on CQC governance, risk management, or research methodologies. They often battle with:
1. Academic Jargon & Formatting: Translating daily care routines into formal academic language and Harvard referencing.
2. Time Pressure: Balancing long shifts, sleep-ins, and family life with strict assignment submission deadlines.
3. Lack of Tailored Support: Distance-learning courses often provide study briefs without explaining how to critically analyse or structure an argument.
I teach because I want to bridge this gap. I am passionate about empowering care staff, supervisors, and aspiring managers to gain confidence in their academic capabilities, pass their units with high marks, and unlock new career progression opportunities.
What Sets My Tutoring Apart
Real-World Care Insights: Because I actively work as a Senior Support Worker, my guidance on CQC Single Assessment Frameworks, safeguarding, person-centred planning, and risk assessments is grounded in current UK legislation and real practice.
Analytical Precision: My background in Mathematics and Data Analysis allows me to teach essay structuring, critical evaluation, and research design logically and step-by-step.
Empathy & Flexibility: Having managed shift work alongside postgraduate study, I offer flexible online scheduling and a supportive, non-judgmental space where no question is "too basic."
Whether you are completing a Level 1 introductory certificate, working through a Level 3/5 Diploma, or tackling a Level 6 research project, I am here to help you succeed. Let's work together to achieve your academic and professional goals!

My Coaching Philosophy: Bridging Frontline Experience with Academic Excellence
As an active Senior Support Worker holding a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics, an OTHM Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Health and Social Care Management, and currently completing my MSc, I know firsthand that adult care professionals face a unique challenge: balancing demanding shift work with rigorous academic assignments.
Many health and social care students struggle not because they lack practical knowledge, but because academic jargon, CQC frameworks, research methodologies, and strict essay formats can feel overwhelming.
My goal is to demystify academic requirements, build your confidence, and help you transform your real-world care experience into top-grade assignments.
How We Will Work Together in Our Sessions
My coaching is 100% personalised, empathetic, and structured around your specific unit criteria. During our 1-to-1 online sessions, we focus on:
Unpacking Assignment Briefs: We break down complex assessment questions and verb prompts (Analyse, Evaluate, Critique, Assess) so you know exactly what the assessor is looking for.
Linking Theory to Practice: I help you map real-world care practices—such as CQC Single Assessment Frameworks, safeguarding protocols, person-centred planning, and risk governance—directly to your unit learning outcomes.
Academic Writing & Essay Structuring: I guide you on how to structure paragraphs, build logical arguments, write critically rather than descriptively, and master Harvard referencing.
Research Methods & Data Support (Level 5 & 6): Drawing on my quantitative background, I provide specialist support for higher-level research proposals, literature reviews, and methodology units.
Constructive Feedback & Proofreading: I review your draft work line-by-line, highlighting areas for improvement, formatting errors, or missing criteria before you submit.
Who I Support
I welcome adult learners and care staff studying across all major awarding bodies (including OTHM, QUALIFI, City & Guilds, Pearson BTEC, Highfield, and LearnDirect):
Level 1–3 Students: Building foundational academic skills, understanding care standards, and overcoming essay anxiety.
Level 4–5 Students: Mastering leadership theories, operational management, safeguarding governance, and CQC compliance.
Level 6 / Undergraduate Students: Navigating strategic management, advanced policy evaluation, and final research projects.
Ethical Commitment
Please note: I offer legitimate academic coaching, tutoring, proofreading, and assignment guidance. I do not write essays or complete assignments on behalf of students, ensuring your work remains 100% your own and compliant with UK academic integrity standards.
