About Patrick
I have a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, and I have tutored for over 10 years, both privately and at local schools. In those years, I have been fortunate in helping students improve their grades while becoming more confident problem solvers.
No magic tricks, just the combination of my ability to explain concepts and the student's willingness to improve!

I would work out a Math problem on the board while explaining each step. This ensures the student sees the "how" and "why" while having the opportunity to ask questions in real time.
Then, I switch roles and let the student explain things back to me AND solve similar problems. That lets me know how the student grasps the concepts and where more support is needed.
Past parents and students have commended my ability to tailor my explanations to the students. My years of tutoring have taught me that tutoring is not one-size-fits-all: for example, I can't necessarily explain the same Algebra problem in the same manner to two twins!
I also try to create an environment where the student can ask every question they're afraid to ask in class. I tell them "if you're gonna make mistakes, let's make them during the session, not on your exam."
