About Nadya
My name is Nadya DeBeers and I've just recently graduated from UC Berkeley with a bachelors degree in Pure Mathematics. I have been tutoring for about 2 years now and I love it! Tutoring and helping students with their maths difficulties is a rewarding and fun experience (I find for myself and my students). I've tutored many subjects and many different students due to my experiences working in a "drop-in tutorial center", teaching two college level courses, and conducting my own independent tutor sessions.

I like to look at learning as a fun task that I get to do with my students. I generally will compile a form of warm-up to get our brains going, then go on to do practice problems, work on what you need a little extra help with, and maybe a few maths games! All the while, I will be asking lots of questions and expect the same from my students. All questions are good questions, and as a tutor, I find it's a large part of my responsibility to answer these questions!
