About Daelyn
Hi! I am an educator and science enthusiast with a deep passion for sparking curiosity in young minds. I have had the privilege of teaching Physics, Chemistry, and College-level Biology, helping students not only understand science but see how it shapes the world around them. I began my journey in education teaching 7th grade, where I learned that great teaching is not just about lessons but about connection, curiosity, and confidence. Since then, I have continued to blend hands-on experimentation with clear, relatable explanations that make even the toughest concepts click. Beyond the classroom, I have published scientific research and continue to explore new ways to bring real-world science into education. My goal is to make learning feel like discovery, where students question boldly, think critically, and see themselves as capable scientists in the making. When I am not teaching, you can find me reading about new discoveries, mentoring future scientists, or creating engaging STEM activities that make learning fun, relevant, and unforgettable.

Teaching Method and Techniques:
My teaching style is interactive, patient, and centered around student understanding rather than memorization. I use a mix of guided discussion, real-life examples, and visual aids to make complex topics easier to grasp. I also incorporate active learning strategies such as retrieval practice and spaced repetition to help students retain information long-term. Each lesson is tailored to a student’s learning style. Whether they learn best through visuals, hands-on activities, or discussion.
A Typical Lesson Plan:
1. Warm-Up (5–10 min): Quick review of previous material or a short activity to activate prior knowledge.
2. Core Lesson (20–30 min): Introduction of new content through explanation, examples, and guided practice.
3. Application (10–15 min): Students apply what they’ve learned through exercises, discussion, or real-world scenarios.
4. Wrap-Up (5–10 min): Summary of key points, reflection on learning, and setting goals for next time.
5. Homework/Extension: Optional practice or project-based task to reinforce the topic.
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor:
I focus not only on what students learn but how they learn. My goal is to help them develop confidence, critical thinking, and self-motivation.
