About Joshua
I’ve trained with professional musicians and producers across multiple genres, building a strong foundation in performance and music leadership.
I help students understand music, not just play notes. I specialize in teaching chart reading, number systems, and playing by ear for real-world band settings. I lead my church’s music department, assist other ministries, and have supported theatrical productions.
As a recording artist, I released a single in 2019 and my debut EP in 2023, bringing practical, confidence-building instruction to every lesson.

My musical journey began at age 10, learning to play by ear before later mastering how to read chart music. After 37 years, my love for music remains the same—and my passion now is teaching others to play with confidence and joy.
I teach students of all ages, from 7 to 77, using a clear, step-by-step approach. I’ve created easy-to-follow charts and formulas that help students understand scales in every key, build chords from the root, and grasp essential music theory without feeling overwhelmed. Lessons quickly move from concepts to playing real songs, so learning stays practical and fun.
My ultimate goal is simple: to help you play music confidently—and enjoy every step of the journey.
