About Susie

Hello! My name is Susie, and I am a native Mandarin Chinese speaker from Beijing, the capital of China. I am currently living in North York, Toronto, Canada, and I offer both online and in-person lessons with a flexible schedule to fit your needs.

I hold a Mandarin Proficiency Certificate, which ensures clear and standard pronunciation. My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers, and adults, whether you are a complete beginner or looking to improve your conversational Chinese.

I believe learning a language should be enjoyable, practical, and confidence-building. I am patient, attentive, energetic, and easy to talk to. I tailor each lesson to your learning goals and pace, creating a relaxed and supportive environment where you can feel comfortable speaking Chinese.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, playing tennis and squash, traveling, exploring new neighborhoods through city walks, and learning about different cultures. I look forward to helping you achieve your Chinese learning goals and making your Mandarin journey both fun and rewarding!

About the lesson

My lessons are designed for beginners, intermediate learners, children, teenagers, and adults who want to improve their Mandarin Chinese. I adapt each lesson to your goals, whether you want to learn conversational Chinese, prepare for travel, improve pronunciation, or build confidence in everyday communication. My teaching style is patient, friendly, and interactive. Lessons include speaking, listening, vocabulary, grammar, and practical real-life situations to help you make steady progress at your own pace.
