About Declan
My name is Declan Walsh. I was classically trained as a special effects animator with Sullivan Bluth Studios. I was hired by 20th Century Fox as a director of EFX animation in Arizona, where we made Anastasia and Titan AE. Since then I have worked on countless projects in Animation for Games, and TV plus I have 7 feature-animated titles to my credit, all working for Fox, Disney, and Marvel. Cartoon Animator is a fantastic software with literally thousands of characters and assets to use in your animations. I'm passionate about helping you bring your creations to life.

Using CTA ( Cartoon Animator ) I can show you how to use the software and get the most out of your animations with great tips and tricks. I will help you understand the CTA interface and all its buttons and interactions plus the store where you can get thousands of characters, backgrounds, and animations to plug into your story.
1: Take a story, even one you have in mind
2: Storyboard it so you can see the progression of the animation
3: Using the timeline, show you how to view your storyboard in CTA.
4: Build rig and understand character structure in CTA
5: How to create backgrounds for your animations
6: Animating a character and props
7: Understanding special effects for your animation
The typical lesson length is an hour, if you already use CTA and want help in a particular area I can focus the lesson on your needs.
I have a background in traditional animation and have worked on Feature films, Games, and TV for Don Bluth, 20th Century Fox, Disney, and Marvel. Unlike most tutors who will just teach you the software, I can take your journey to the next level.
My lessons are for anyone who wishes to learn how to animate with Cartoon Animator. I prefer students to be 18 plus, however, if an adult wants to sit in and learn alongside a budding animator I am more than happy to oblige.
