About Cindy
I am a native Chinese speaker based in Melbourne, Australia, with a Master’s degree in TESOL from the University of Melbourne. My academic background has provided me with professional knowledge of second language acquisition, language teaching, lesson planning, and learner support.
I understand that every student learns differently, so I aim to create a patient, encouraging, and well-structured learning environment. As both a language education graduate and a language learner myself, I understand the challenges students may face when building confidence, improving pronunciation, or expressing ideas naturally.
I am committed to helping students make steady progress and feel more confident using Chinese in real-life situations.

My lessons are interactive, supportive, and tailored to each student’s level, goals, and interests. I use clear explanations, real-life situations, guided practice, and meaningful conversation to help students understand and actively use Chinese.
A typical lesson may include a short warm-up, introduction of key language, pronunciation or vocabulary practice, guided speaking activities, and a final review. I also provide feedback in a clear and encouraging way, so students can improve without feeling afraid of making mistakes.
With a Master’s degree in TESOL from the University of Melbourne, I bring a strong understanding of second language learning and lesson design to my teaching. My lessons are suitable for beginners, intermediate learners, and students who want to improve everyday conversation, pronunciation, confidence, or more natural Chinese expression.
