Learning to sing with Zac has been a fantastic experience. He’s a knowledgeable and patient teacher who explains techniques clearly and makes lessons easy to follow. Zac is very encouraging while still giving honest and constructive feedback, which really helps build both skill and confidence. He adapts each lesson to suit individual needs and focuses on healthy vocal techniques like proper breathing and control. His supportive approach and passion for teaching makes learning enjoyable and effective. I’d highly recommend Zac to anyone looking to improve their singing.

I have spent roughly 2 years learning guitar with Zac and I can honestly say it has been a wonderful experience every step of the way. Zac is highly personable and his passion for music and teaching is immediately obvious. He has always been accommodating and generous with his time, constantly looking to maximise what I take away from our lessons. I have been more than satisfied with the progress that I have made with my instrument, already working towards a Grade 6-Level exam after only a couple of years, and I can absolutely say that I have Zac to thank for a lot of this progress. I consistently come away from lessons feeling motivated and refocused on my guitar playing. I would strongly recommend Zac's teaching services to any musician wanting to develop their skills in singing, piano, or guitar. With experience as a gigging musician and member of his own band, he has a wealth of knowledge to offer, and no matter your goals, you will be in good hands.

Just want to say thank you Zac and to let you know that we still refer to your techniques and material these days after all these years. We still remember the “look at those cars go” song you created on the spot with L.

Singing is just a part of L and we really appreciate the knowledge you shared with us. It’s so important to have great teachers like you!

Zac has helped me improve my singing immensely. Starting from a soft, timid and breathy voice, he has taught me how to be confident and sing strongly with my chest voice. Zac is enormously talented and patient and adjusted his approach to match what I needed to learn and how I needed to learn it. Zac is a great teacher. Thanks Zac.

Zac is an inspiring teacher for my son. We’ve focussed on vocal lessons but Zac has mixed in some guitar and piano to keep things interesting and maximise engagement. I highly recommend his lessons.

Learning piano with Zac has been a fantastic experience. I started as an adult learner with no musical background, simply wanting to learn for fun. Instead of following a strict curriculum, Zac took the time to understand the music I actually liked and built lessons around that. Everything was tailored to my level and interests, so it never felt generic.
He has a very strong knowledge of music theory and explains foundational techniques clearly, then demonstrates how they connect directly to the songs you’re learning. The exercises always felt relevant and purposeful.
Zac is a talented musician and a patient, skilled teacher. He’s also genuinely fun and approachable while still being focused and professional. I’d highly recommend him, especially for adult learners or anyone wanting a personalised approach

Zac was really easy to get along with and made the learning process enjoyable and comfortable. I was able to do basic ear training, find my range, and learn simple techniques that gave me confidence in singing around others. I highly recommend Zac and his expertise!

Zac is an amazing piano and singing teacher who is very positive and supportive in developing your skills and really goes the extra mile. He helps you to learn the kinds of music you're interested in, creates great learning plans to improve playing ability, and his lessons are always lots of fun. I can’t believe how far I’ve come with both piano and singing.

I've been receiving piano lessons from Zachary for approximately 10 months. His virtual lessons are just as good as his face to face lessons, if not better! He's style of teaching is easy going and very comfortable and since seeing him it has reignited my passion for music and singing. I look forward to our lessons each week and I cannot recommend Zac enough!

Zac is not only a great musician himself, but an excellent and talented teacher. He has a great way of breaking things down to make the complex simple - and he has the ability to translate this to people of all different levels of experience. My pitch and rhythm have improved considerably since our lessons. I would highly recommend Zac's classes!

I’ve been doing guitar and singing lessons with Zack for over a year now and have never been disappointed. He is super friendly and our lessons are personalised towards me and my current needs and music taste. Before doing lessons I was mostly learning through YouTube tutorials and since receiving tutoring from Zack my music knowledge in general has skyrocketed as well as musical technique. I highly recommend learning music from Zack, you will not be disappointed!

Zac is an exceptional teacher that goes above and beyond to provide excellent music tuition. I am provided with a range of resources, weekly notes and even 4 different practice routines! He helps to make the learning process easy and fun and is the first teacher that has allowed us to record our online zoom lessons so I can go back and revise lesson material with ease. Whatever your instrument or musical background, if you would like a dedicated and supportive teacher and learn in a fun environment, I highly recommend Learn Music By Ear by Zac. Thanks for your ongoing support and enthusiasm Zac!!

Zachary is a very great music teacher. He is a specialist in teaching people how to sing, write songs and play piano and guitar. His lessons are unique because students learn to do everything together. He really takes time to understand the students musical goals strengths, weaknesses. He taught me how to learn music by ear, improvise and compose. I highly recommend Zachary L. to everyone who likes to sing and is interested in writing songs and playing guitar or piano.
