I grew up speaking Korean at home, and I know that the way second languages are usually taught is out of touch with the language that people use in real situations. I focus on the workhorse vocabulary and sentence structures that you need to start speaking the language quickly--because once you grasp the basic sentence structures, learning new words from there is as easy as learning new words in English.
