About Jamie
I have been on my own reo journey for almost two decades, and when I started this journey of reclaimation I had next to nothing in my kete.
I have a thirst for learning and as such I recognise that my learning journey will never end.
One of my greatest achievements in relation to te reo Māori has been ensuring that my tamariki have their reo from the womb and since becoming a parent I have committed myself to instilling this beautiful language in my children so that they never have to search for it as I have.
I am currently a teacher of the fulltime daytime te reo Māori course at Toi Ohomai in Tauranga Moana.
I am into using technology to create learning tools, which you will gain access to if you decide to join me on this journey.

If you have a genuine passion to learn te reo Māori and want to put in the work to get it, I would love to help you on your journey. Regardless of where you are from or what level you are at, I'm here to help.
I am offering online classes lasting 90 minutes per session (with a short break in the middle). Class length can be negotiated depending on your needs.
I can teach beginners as well as those who have done some learning but need support to continue their journey. No matter the level you are at you can expect games, speaking and listening practice, grammar, access to exclusive online te reo Māori interactive word games and activities.
I am open to teaching groups, adults and children all welcome.
