About Kia
With 8 years of piano tutoring experience and more than 300 students taught, I have built a strong approach that helps learners grow with confidence. I enjoy teaching high school students, college learners, and adults who want to start or continue their musical journey.
My teaching philosophy focuses on clarity, patience, and meaningful practice. I make sure each concept is explained simply and practiced through enjoyable activities. I adjust my lessons to suit each student’s learning style so they feel comfortable and motivated.
I teach fundamental skills such as reading music, scales, chords, rhythm, finger exercises, and expressive playing. I also introduce different music styles so students can explore their interests. Many students have made excellent progress, performing confidently in school and community events.
I aim to make each lesson positive, productive, and inspiring. My goal is to help every student discover their musical abilities and enjoy the process of learning piano.

My teaching approach for Piano is based on communication, adaptable teaching methods, and real-life musical examples. I believe students learn best when they feel supported and understood, so I make sure to listen carefully to their needs, goals, and responses. I adjust lessons to match their learning style, whether they learn best through visuals, sound, or hands-on activities.
I teach additional subjects such as Music Theory, Ear Training, Sight-Reading, Rhythm Skills, Chords, Scales, Arpeggios, and Basic Improvisation. These areas help students become strong and independent musicians. To make lessons meaningful, I use real-life examples from classical pieces, popular songs, and simple case studies from performances. This helps students see how concepts work outside the classroom.
I encourage open communication so students feel comfortable discussing challenges and asking questions. My lessons focus on skill-building, creativity, and consistent progress. With patient guidance, structured exercises, and enjoyable practice methods, I help students develop confidence and a strong connection to music.
