About Deio
I have over 10 years experience in competitive swimming and have represented my country in international competitions. I am a qualified level 2 swimming teacher, and have been writing individual based swim programmes for competitive swimming and for fitness and well-being purposes.

My teaching method is to form programmes and tutor each person as an individual with individual needs and abilities. I can work with non swimmers who are beginning their swimming journey, through to competitive swimmers at levels such as regional. I can provide a lot of focus on speed development and race specific techniques. I approach swimming as both a physical and mental skill, therefore I’ll always explain the basic principles of swimming techniques - in order to progress and attain goals at any level, confidence is key. Confidence is critical when developing a swimmer at any skill level, and I believe, in learning and maintaining a healthy, constant discussion about the purposes of my methods, a swimmer can develop at a much greater rate.
A happy swimmer is a good swimmer, therefore I will always prioritise the enjoyment of the journey of improvement over the time taken.
