About Reem
I am a Senior Risk Analyst with 3 years of professional experience in corporate credit and financial analysis, currently pursuing an MSc in Finance at Imperial College London, ranked 2nd globally. Before Imperial, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the American University in Cairo with a degree in Quantitative and Financial Economics, achieving a GPA of 3.83.
Alongside my professional career, I spent two years as a Teaching Assistant in Investment Analysis and Monetary Economics at AUC, supporting undergraduate students through complex material and leading review sessions. Teaching is something I genuinely enjoy, not just something I do on the side.
I am a native Arabic speaker, fluent in both Modern Standard Arabic and Egyptian colloquial dialect, and I have a strong foundation in mathematics, accounting, and finance from both academic and professional experience.
I work with beginners and intermediate learners who want to actually understand what they are studying. I am patient, direct, and I adapt to how each student learns best. My goal in every session is for the student to leave understanding something they did not before.

I believe the best way to learn is through understanding, not memorisation. My approach is conversational and practical. I break down complex concepts into simple, relatable examples and adjust my pace entirely to the student, not the other way around.
For finance and accounting, I focus on real world application — how things actually work, not just what the textbook says. I bring three years of professional experience as a Senior Risk Analyst and my current MSc Finance studies at Imperial College London into every session, which means what I teach is grounded in reality.
For Arabic, I am a native Egyptian speaker and I teach both Modern Standard Arabic and Egyptian colloquial dialect depending on what the student actually needs, whether that is reading, speaking, or both.
Sessions are typically 60 minutes and delivered online, so they fit around your schedule. I am comfortable with complete beginners through to intermediate level across all subjects.
I also have two years of experience as a Teaching Assistant in Investment Analysis and Monetary Economics at the American University in Cairo, so explaining difficult material clearly and patiently is something I have done a lot of.
If you want to actually understand what you are learning rather than just memorise it long enough to pass, we will get along well.
