I prefer to teach in bursts that are just long enough to hold optimal attention span, and in great depth.
So the classes will seem something like a class-break-class-break pattern, where a 5 minute break is introduced after every 55 minutes of teaching.
Coming to didactic techniques, I believe in the Pygmalion effect, gamification, the flipped-classroom technique, positive reinforcement and the Pomodoro technique.
My classes are for any child currently in classes VI to XII (or even a repeater).
