I don’t believe in simply correcting an essay and giving a student a better version.
Instead, I explain why something isn’t working, how to improve it, and what the student can do differently next time.
Lessons are personalised to the student’s current level and goals, with plenty of opportunities to work on their own writing.
I also offer detailed essay feedback outside of lessons, which can be particularly useful for students who need help improving their writing between classes.
