About Sameeksha
I am an IBDP student who was previously in an Indian Curriculum. I found IBDP a tad bit hard but once I got a grip of it, I started excelling in my subjects (especially biology). I got my grades in biology hl from a 3 to a high 6 (low 7) which is a straight A. The techniques that worked for me might not work for any other students so it is very important to analyze their skills as well.

I believe that dumping information on students and telling them to take notes won't really help them understand what the topic is. Rather, I'd suggest having a proper teaching plan that will help students understand the lesson and not memorize it. For example, if the topic is Cell division, I would start with testing the student's knowledge as is so that we can take a step further. Based on that, I will create a study plan that would match the student's and lesson's complexity. For example, if the student has 0 prior knowledge on the particular topic, I will explain it to them in a very easy method and will quiz them immediately. I will repeat this until the topic ends and at the very end, I will give them notes and a complete test on the topic.
