About Naomi
Singing often feels more like a physical science than a purely artistic endeavor when you begin to break it down. I confess that even after 11 years of experience, the mechanics of the human body still surprise me daily. My work spans from Grade 3 newcomers to adults finding their footing in Canada through music. I hold a BM Vocal Performance and TEFL from UBC to support my teaching practice.
Having worked with students of all ages, I understand the nuance required for genre styling in pop or classical styles. My focus remains on sustainable growth and healthy technique for every singer I meet. You will be supported by a teacher who understands both the technical and emotional sides of your performance.

You walk in and we immediately focus on how your breath supports the sound you want to create. Addressing you directly, we look at your current vocal health and care routines to ensure you are singing safely. I incorporate diction and articulation work alongside rhythm and phrasing to make your songs stand out.
We use performance recordings reviewed together each month to identify small wins and areas for growth. I help you navigate the tricky transition into belting technique by keeping things relaxed and informed. My background ensures you understand the anatomy behind the notes you sing. I am here to help you sing with ease as your neurodivergent-affirming coach.
