About Bekar
After my son was diagnosed with autism, it became clear that a traditional school setting was not the right environment for him. I made the decision to withdraw him from school and to follow his lead in how I delivered lessons. Through teaching him, I learned that English Language and Literature can present particular challenges for autistic learners-especially tasks that involve creative writing or imaginative storytelling. At the same time, they often excel in areas such as detailed description, instruction writing and factual documentary-style work. My son's successful progress encouraged me to continue teaching, and since then I have supported many other children on the autism spectrum as well as neurotypical students. This experience has strengthened my belief in personalised, flexible teaching that adapts to the individual rather than focusing the individual to adopt the setting.

I am a qualified private tutor with a BA in English and MA in Philosophy. I began tutoring after choosing to home-educate my children, an experience that has given me a deep understanding of how to tailor learning to individual needs. I have extensive experience supporting children with ADD and ADHD, including my own child and I specialise in creating calm, structured, confidence-building lessons to support focus and engagement. I teach GCSE English Language and English Literature in one-hour lessons delivered exclusively online, helping students to develop strong analytical skills and achieve their full academic potential.
