About Otis
Hi there. I am a current 3rd year undergraduate at Oxford who has had a broad range of experience with teaching/tutoring in the past and believe I bring a friendly, productive and fun approach to helping my tutees to achieve their ambitions (big or small!).
My experience with teaching started at school, where I ran reading lessons once a week for Year 2 and Year 4 children at Vaughan primary school. This taught me a huge amount about both the difficulties and the rewards involved with teaching, in particular young children for whom many of which English was their second language.
Since then, I have helped A-level students with their university applications (Oxbridge in particular) and younger boys applying to Harrow School, where I went myself and retain a number of close contacts. In both cases I found I could really relate to and engage with my tutees based on the recent experience of going through the process myself. Having gone through all the same things relatively, I have an intimate knowledge of what the processes require and which approaches seems to click with different people.
