About Raymond
My name is Raymond Liu and I am a grade 12 student at R.C. Palmer Secondary in Richmond B.C. I started to self-learn French during the pandemic and promptly joined the Late French Immersion program. Since then, my passion for the French language has led to various Francophone programs to further develop my speaking and writing skills. I specialize in teaching French grammar, conjugations, reading and writing skills. Outside of academia, I enjoy hiking, running, and spending time outdoors with my family. I am a current high school student who has learned French since 2020. I have extended experience in the French language through the Late French Immersion Program and participating in Francophone programs in Canada.
My lesson methodology revolves around developing close bonds with students as a fellow high school student. As a student, I understand the learning methods and study habits that are most useful in studying languages as a non-native speaker.
A typical lesson plan:
- Go over any problems with previous concepts/homework questions
- Learn a new lesson/expand upon the previous lesson
- Work through sample questions/writing/speaking practice
- Allow for independent solving of questions
- Answer any questions regarding lesson/sample questions
These lessons are designed mainly for elementary/high school students who are looking to develop their skills in the French language!
