About Ty
Hi, my name is Ty. I graduated from Cairns State High School in 2025, where I proudly served as School Captain. I’m now studying a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at QUT, with plans to continue into a Master of Medicine. I’m extremely passionate about math and science, but I also have a genuine love for writing and communication. I believe that being able to explain complex ideas clearly is just as important as understanding them — and that’s something I bring into every lesson I teach. Throughout high school, I had the opportunity to tutor students from primary school up to Year 11, which helped me develop strong teaching and communication skills. I take a personalized approach to tutoring, adapting my teaching style to suit each student’s needs, learning preferences, and personality. I’ve found that when lessons are relatable and engaging, students not only perform better but also gain confidence in their abilities.
