About Catherine

When I was in sixth form I tutored Maths to GCSE students. During this period I also helped a few students pass their A-level Economics. In University I tutored beginner level Mandarin.
I am a second year Mathematics and Economics student.

About the lesson

1. Start by understanding what the student might be finding difficult within the subject, especially if there are areas that need particular attention.
2. Then make a plan with the student that suits what they want to achieve.
3. Then follow the plan by talking, giving examples, giving different explanations.
4. Then giving the student the suitable amount of time to practise to see if the help has worked! If they still find difficulty we can work on a different angle to try from.

I've known Rei through my time at university and can honestly say she is one of the kindest people I know. Rei is a patient person with an understanding of what techniques are best to help someone learn. With an energetic personality, she is able to make even some of the hardest concepts still fun to learn! I would definitely recommend Rei to anyone who is looking for a tutor as she has the friendliness, understanding and willingness to help everyone achieve what they are fully capable of!
