About Camille
I am a French and American national but spent most of my life in Frankfurt, Germany before moving to London to start university. I completed the International Baccalaureate taking Biology, Chemistry, and German at a higher level, and Maths, Geography, and English at a lower level. That said, I have a very international background and can sympathise with students who have moved around and been exposed to different curricula. I believe that a student's effort mirrors success. Working hard to try and understand a topic can be overwhelming to start, but the more familiar you become with it, the quicker you will be able to tackle new information and assimilate it. I worked very hard as a student to establish a learning routine that could work for me and allow me to perform well at a sustainable, non-exhausting level. I have continued to follow the same working regimen up to university. My goal is to get my students to enjoy the process of learning and gain a sense of satisfaction from their achievements (small or large) which is super rewarding!

I have been tutoring for two years alongside my undergraduate studies at University College London. In the past, I have not tutored through a platform but by personal advertisement. Having taken the International Baccalaureate, I mostly taught students studying at the IB or pre-IB level (Ages 14-18); this is equivalent to GCSE or A-level. I taught my lessons online using Zoom or Teams. Generally I like to work through problems which I pull from verified online sources (worksheets or textbook problems), or problems which the student has been given at school. I use my I pad to illustrate the working for a question, and my computer screen to communicate with the student. Active-learning has proven to be the most effective strategy for my students: the student will be asked to work through the problem on their own, and then we will go through it together. The typical length of my session is 1 hour, but when available, I'm happy to go up to 2 hours. Depending on my session load, I can meet weekly/bi-weekly.
