About Yujie
I am a non-binary design graduate who has lived in NZ since 2018. Chinese is my first language, I also speak a little Cantonese as well as Spanish. I am passionate about teaching and learning languages because it always provides you different perspectives. I understand that when learning a new language, it is not only a language you speak, but also a culture that you get in touch with. I know exactly how to make the language learning journey fun and rewarding because I have been doing it for three years and I have students that stayed with me until this very day.

I have a systematic approach to tutoring and like to break things down and explain in the most detailed ways. I have fun with teaching and often like to include Chinese history stories to keep students interested. I am always curious and will never stop learning as I teach. I am open to any suggestions and feedback from students and will always put in the effort to improve myself.

Perfect! Yujay is so friendly and patient! She has taught me better knowledge about China, and I’ve learnt more native Chinese vocabs and how to correctly use grammar structures. My Chinese has improved greatly because of her carefree and fun teaching ways! ^_^ I will continue to be her student and I am becoming more fluent in speaking Chinese because she is a great teacher!
