About Katarina
Teaching Croatian for me is not just about transferring knowledge, but also about the responsibility and trust that I build with each student. I approach each student professionally, structuredly and with a clear goal – to ensure real progress and confidence in expression. I have a Master's degree in Economics with a strong interest in language, communication and precise expression. Through working and collaborating with different profiles of people, I have developed the ability to explain clearly, adapt content to different levels of knowledge and patiently guide through the learning process. I pay special attention to regularity, understanding of linguistic logic and practical application of what has been learned.

As a Croatian language teacher, I base my work on a structured but flexible approach that adapts to the individual needs of each student. I believe that language is a living system of communication, so I do not reduce teaching exclusively to grammar, but rather direct it towards the functional application of language in real situations. My methodology and way of working • Teaching techniques and methods I combine the communicative method, an analytical approach to grammar, and contextual learning through texts, media, and practical examples. I emphasize: developing speaking and writing competence understanding language structures through examples from everyday and professional contexts working on vocabulary through thematic units continuous feedback and monitoring progress In my work, I use authentic materials, adapted worksheets, and tasks that encourage critical thinking and independent expression. • Typical course of the lesson The lesson begins with a brief review of previous material or an introductory conversation on a given topic. This is followed by the treatment of a new language structure or thematic unit with clear explanations and examples. In the central part of the lesson, the student actively applies what he has learned through conversation, writing, or text analysis. The final part of the lesson is dedicated to reflection, summary of key points and agreement on further steps. • My special qualities as a teacher I am characterized by patience, precision and an individualized approach. I pay special attention to correct pronunciation, linguistic accuracy and clarity of expression. I believe in creating a stimulating and safe environment in which the student feels free to ask questions and develop confidence in communication. • Who are the lessons intended for? The lessons are intended for: primary and secondary school students who want to improve their academic writing adults who are learning Croatian as a foreign language students who are preparing for exams, matura or official language tests professionals who need the Croatian language in a business environment.
