I believe every student is different and with him/her a subjective methodology based on his/her personal attributes must be curated. When it comes to English Literature, one must be thorough in their understanding of classical texts and teach the students with regular emphasis on syllabus, week-to-week writing and reading exercises and vocabulary building. Constant revision, extempore, grammar building is what I prefer to do. I try to make my class interactive as this helps the students in opening up more with regard to their doubts and build communication skills.

  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

English is something we all start from the very beginning of our schooling. I really loved to read English stories, novels, and other fiction content. I really used to enjoy my English classes and was my only favourite subject. Over the years, I developed my love for it. I used to sit and read for hours in a library, near my house. I used to love it, it was kinda my getaway from my reality. That is how I realized if I love the subject so much, I should do what I love. so from, then I started teaching it.
  • What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

My class 10th English teacher... She embraced my love for English and was always there to help. She always managed to take time out of her schedule and help me with my difficulties, discussing the current book I was reading and many other things. She was like a support system. She was so good with her work and such a joyful teacher, I really liked her. That kinda made me realize if I can play the same part in someone else's life that would be great, that's why I decided to start tutoring.
  • How does your work help society?

Teaching is a way to help and build a better future for the student as well as the community. Teaching is a kind of guidance which is important for the kids who are the leading future for tomorrow. My work is not only just limited to teach online. I have worked with many non-profit organisations that are providing free education to those kids who are deprived of the same rights as others and help them spread their message.
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

My class 10th English teacher. she embraced my love for English and was always there to help. she always managed to take time out of her schedule and help me with my difficulties, discussing the current book I was reading and many other things. she was like a support system. she was so good with her work and such a joyful teacher, really liked her. • Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

My hobbies except teaching are reading, gardening, and traveling. I love to read, whenever I'm tired and want a break, I just pick a book and lose myself in it. I love gardening, I love the smell of sand and newly budded flowers, I have my backyard filled with roses, lilies, tulips, and hibiscus. I just love to sit in my garden and read. I like traveling, exploring new places, learning about their cultures, history, and many other things.
  • Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

I haven't gone through any such experience that I would like to tell.
