About Dana
I have been tutoring since 2014 and have enjoyed working with all of the different students master and gain confidence in school. I never felt confident or ready for school, so I would be the quiet student not engaged in learning and hesitant to answer questions. I hated tests, reading, math and anything "hard" for me to complete in school. One day, one of my middle school teachers encouraged me and inspired me to allow my light to shine. Since then, I have always wanted to go into education and become the teacher I wish I had growing up. As long as there's always coffee! :)

Lessons will target misunderstood topics while adjusting to your strength level and understanding. Learning should be fun and immersive. That's the only way I teach and learn! We will start with a check for understanding, then follow that up with a mini lesson and a student-led interactive check for mastery session, then a competitive game to help gain confidence and understanding. I also love to do hands-on projects and activities just for added fun!
