About Siavash

As an experienced mathematics educator, my primary goal is to inspire confidence in my students and help them develop a deep understanding of mathematical concepts. I believe that every student has the potential to excel in mathematics with the right guidance and support. Through my years of teaching at all levels, I have refined my ability to simplify complex concepts and present them in a way that makes learning both engaging and accessible.

I approach each lesson with professionalism and patience, ensuring that students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring topics at their own pace. I take pride in creating a structured yet flexible learning environment where students are encouraged to think critically, solve problems, and build their mathematical skills with confidence.

What sets me apart is my ability to relate mathematical theory to real-world applications, helping students see the value and relevance of what they are learning. Whether I’m teaching basic arithmetic or advanced calculus, I tailor my lessons to meet the specific needs of each student, ensuring they grasp the material fully before moving on to more complex topics.

My professionalism is evident in my commitment to clear communication, punctuality, and thorough preparation for each lesson. I continuously assess each student's progress, providing constructive feedback and adjusting my teaching approach to ensure optimal learning outcomes.

I take great care to foster a positive learning atmosphere where students feel supported and motivated to reach their full potential. I am dedicated to helping my students succeed, not just in mathematics but in developing the confidence and critical thinking skills that will serve them throughout their academic and professional careers.

Teaching Method and Techniques:

I employ a student-centered approach, where I adapt my teaching methods based on the individual needs and learning pace of each student. I emphasize conceptual understanding over memorization, using problem-solving techniques and real-life applications to make mathematical concepts more tangible. I encourage students to actively participate in the learning process by solving problems, discussing their thought processes, and exploring multiple solution methods.

A Typical Lesson Plan:

A typical math lesson begins with a quick review of previously learned concepts to reinforce understanding. I then introduce the new topic in a structured manner, starting with basic principles and gradually advancing to more complex problems. Interactive problem-solving sessions follow, allowing students to apply new concepts. The lesson ends with a summary, addressing any questions, and assigning practice problems for independent work.

What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor:

What sets me apart is my ability to simplify challenging mathematical concepts by breaking them down into easily digestible steps. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, and I tailor my teaching methods to suit different learning styles. My patience, encouragement, and use of practical examples ensure students build both confidence and competence in math.

Who the Lessons Are For:

My lessons are designed for students of all levels, from elementary school to university, including those preparing for standardized tests (SAT, ACT, GRE) and advanced courses in calculus, algebra, geometry, and beyond. I also offer customized lessons for individuals or small groups, ensuring each student’s specific learning needs are addressed.
