About Avery
I graduated from Lebanon High School in the spring of 2023 and am currently a student at the Ohio State University, majoring in biochemistry. I have been a math tutor for the last 3 years, tutoring anywhere from kindergarten to seniors in high school. As a student math has always been my favorite subject, something I excelled in, and something I felt I could easily teach to others.

It's vital that I know what the student is struggling with, as well as what their strong suits are. First we will discuss both of those things which will be followed by a few review problems based on what they feel that they understand the most. After a few review problems we'll go into a deeper discussion about the concepts they're confused about to truly figure out what part is tripping them up. After I get a general idea, I will do my best to explain to the student how a certain concept works. If my version of teaching was not what they needed to learn the necessary skills for the topic, we will discuss a different way of learning that the student feels would better their understanding. Once both versions of teaching/learning have been executed we will continue with practice problems to enhance the students skills.
