About Zoe
Hi, I’m Zoe! I’ve loved English for as long as I can remember — in fact, back in school I was nicknamed the “teacher’s assistant” because I was always helping classmates who were struggling. Not sure if that is a flex But becoming a teacher has been my dream since I was young, and I truly believe it’s what I’m meant to do. Outside of teaching, I’m a proud dog mom (and big dog lover!) and when I’m not lesson planning, you’ll probably find me scrolling TikTok or cooking - my two greatest joys. My approach is gentle, encouraging, and adaptable, and I love making learning feel enjoyable as well as meaningful

I take a gentle, student-centred approach, making lessons engaging by adapting to each learner’s pace, personality, and interests. I break concepts into clear steps, encourage active participation, and keep sessions enjoyable as well as effective. My lessons usually run 60–90 minutes and include a check-in, focused teaching/practice, and a short wrap-up. I’m a qualified secondary English teacher (Years 7–12) and also work at an OSHC, giving me experience with younger learners. I regularly read SCSA and ACARA curriculum guidelines to ensure everything I teach is relevant and useful.
