I believe strongly in learning through discussion. I like to use direct instruction for main concepts, but I like my students to take that instruction and apply it to their own critical thinking. I think a lot of learning happens when thought processes and ideas are shared between student and teacher in a conversational way. Rather than give correct answers to students, I would like to discuss and reach answers together.
