About Jan

4th Year Postgrad at the University of Manchester studying Maths and Physics master's degree programme. Completed 1st year Computer Science course before switching to Maths and Physics. Achieved A*/A grades in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computer Science A-levels and similar GCSE results. Accordingly, I know what it takes to get top grades, and am committed to helping others do the same. I’m passionate in everything I do, not just my academics. I play the saxophone, football, cricket, Mtb and am involved in many more activities. My main goal is to be a part of the research in advancing our civilisation to a Star Wars-like era.

Hybrid Approach(1hr lesson):-
- 1st 5mins = Discuss what you'd like to do for that session (if not already discussed)
- 20mins = ("Learning") collaborative discussion about chosen topic
- 30mins = ("Practice") work together answering exam questions on chosen topic
- Last 5mins = Evaluate how the session went, maybe you'd prefer to do more "Practice" time than "Learning" time.

Jan is a spectacular teacher. As someone who finds maths incredibly hard he was such an asset in the run up to my GCSEs. What makes Jan so amazing is that he doesn't just let you get away with knowing the answer. He makes sure that you understand why it's the right answer. That for me was his stand out quality which made such a difference and helped me massively. I went from getting 4s and 5s to getting a 7 in my real exam!
