About Renee
I taught Geometry at the high school level for 12 years and am currently teaching college prep math classes at OU to students who aren't quite at college-level understanding. This includes basic arithmetic (fractions and decimals), algebra 1 (calculations with integers, graphing, and solving equations), and algebra 2 (systems of equations, factoring, rational polynomials, radicals and exponents). My Geometry experience includes congruence, similarity, angle properties, reasoning and logic, transformations, Pythagorean theorem, circle properties, basic trigonometry, area, perimeter, surface area, and volume.

In my lessons, I like to link previous knowledge to new content so that the student is able to better understand what they are doing. I think it is important to master the concepts behind the math in order to apply those concepts to many different areas, including real world problems, geometry, and algebra.
I also like to demonstrate different ways to complete problems in order to find the way that makes sense for each student because everyone learns differently.
