About Barnaby
Hi there! I'm Barney, an 19 year old student from Guildford studying Geography at the University of Bristol. I achieved a 9 and an 8 in Maths and Further Maths GCSE respectively, and A's in both A-Level Maths and AS Level Further Maths. I also achieved a 9 in GCSE Geography, and a B at A-Level.
I'd love to help tutor anyone in Maths or Geography from pre-GCSE to A Level standard, and have experience doing both through tutoring my sisters and friends in the past. I find it really rewarding when I hear how my tutoring has helped people overcome a tough topic, or generally make them feel more confident in their capabilities!
While I have no official tutoring experience, I tailor my teaching style to fit the student's needs, adapting their learning to benefit them to the best of my abilities. Outside of tutoring, I'm a qualified hockey coach (and player) and have trained children ages 8-18, also seeing similar positive outcomes throughout the season!

Once a student has sent me the topics/subjects they want to revise, I review them prior to the lesson to provide the most effective tutoring I can. Throughout the 1-2hr lesson, I assess how much the student already knows, and aid them through textbook use, practice questions, and providing a deep understanding of the concepts.
I have no formal tutoring experience, however have spent the last 2 years tutoring my family and friends, all of whom have seen progress in their skills and grades. My lessons are for anyone aged 11-18 who needs support for exams, general subject knowledge, or just refining a few details in more specific areas!
